Commit2Change
Commit2Change (https://www.commit2change.org) is an organization founded on the belief that girls have the ability to take control of their lives and create positive change in their communities when empowered with the proper educational tools and support.
Based on this belief, C2C is committed to working with vulnerable, school-aged girls in India and South Asia to empower them with critical education and life skills that will change the course of their futures. Many of the girls they serve come from extreme hardship and trauma, cast away from their families due to poverty or gender discrimination.
Commit2Change supports:
- Tuition and living expenses in orphanages & rescue homes.
- Technology training to impart 21st century skills
- After-school tutoring to address educational gaps
- Life Skills training to build resilience
Thus far, C2C programs have reached over 4,000 girls. 98% of girls enrolled in secondary school or college, 89% of girls passed 10th grade exams and graduated, and 82% reported an increased interest in education.
